Frequently Asked Questions

Our primary patients are dogs and cats. These make up the majority of the pets we care for and the services our hospital is most equipped to provide.

We can also see some small exotic pets on a limited basis, depending on the species and the medical issue. If you have a small exotic pet—such as a rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, or similar animal—please call our clinic so we can confirm whether we are able to help or schedule the appropriate appointment.

Appointments are preferred so we can ensure we have the appropriate time reserved for your pet and minimize wait times.

However, walk-ins are welcome. Please note that walk-in visits cannot always be guaranteed and may need to wait depending on the day’s schedule and the urgency of other patients.

If your pet needs to be seen promptly, we recommend calling ahead so our team can help determine the best time for you to come in.

Please bring any previous medical records you may have for your pet. This includes vaccination history, lab results, medication information, or records from a previous veterinarian.

If your pet was adopted from a rescue, shelter, or breeder, any paperwork or health information they provided can also be very helpful.

Having this information allows our veterinary team to get a complete picture of your pet’s health history and provide the best possible care from the very first visit.

At this time, we do not offer after-hours or overnight emergency services.

However, during our normal office hours we are fully equipped to evaluate urgent medical issues and perform many emergency procedures or surgeries when needed. If your pet is experiencing a medical problem during the day, please call our office as soon as possible so our team can help determine the best way to assist your pet.

We recommend that pets have a wellness exam at least once a year. Annual exams allow our veterinary team to monitor your pet’s overall health, update vaccinations, and detect potential health issues early.

For senior pets or those with ongoing medical conditions, we may recommend exams more frequently to ensure they stay as healthy and comfortable as possible.

Regular wellness visits are an important part of preventive care and help your pet live a longer, healthier life.
