Dr. Rob Sobolewski

Raised in a small town in central Kentucky, Rob grew up around animals and worked on horse farms.  Dr. Rob enjoyed his time working hunter jumper shows at the Kentucky Horse Park. He realized at a young age that veterinary medicine was in his future.  Shortly after Dr. Rob completed his Undergraduate and Masters at the University of Kentucky he met his wife Michelle.  Together they moved to Auburn where he attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation Rob & his wife Michelle welcomed their two sons, Briggs & Macoy.  During that time Rob accepted an associate veterinarian position in Alpharetta, GA.  As an associate he found he had a passion and skill-set for soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, as well as sports medicine. Over the course of the next several years, Rob spent a significant amount of time working emergency relief shifts on weekends and evenings and doing as much as possible to broaden his knowledge and strengthen his skills, keeping in mind the ultimate goal of owning and operating his own family practice.
During a Sunday drive Rob & Michelle discovered the community of Hickory Flat, an area in North Georgia that embraces the small town feel that they both had missed so much.  After three years, of prayer and hard work, the dream to open a family practice became a reality.  East Cherokee Veterinary Clinic opened it’s doors in the summer of 2017 and Rob says that it has been a pleasure becoming part of the Hickory Flat community and serving the families that enter the doors of ECVC!
